Requirements for Truck Driver:
- Language Proficiency: English
- Education: Secondary High school graduation certificate or Equal degree.
- Experience: 1 Year
- Licenses: AZ class license
- Trucking Equipment: Straight Truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles)
Physical Demands:
- Attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to sit for extended periods
Additional Criteria for Truck Driver:
- Adaptability in a dynamic work environment
- Organizational acumen
- Reliability and good judgment.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Communication Systems Experience:
- Proficiency in operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Familiarity with Trip Recorder (on-board computer).
- Transport/Travel Experience:
- Exposure to international and national transport.
- Documentative Knowledge:
- Familiarity with documents such as bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), and trip reports.
Responsibilities of Truck Driver:
- Arrange travel itineraries, make reservations, and operate/drive straight or articulated trucks for transporting goods.
- Oversee vehicle condition, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Relay information to central dispatch, record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Perform brake adjustments, tarping, and ensure safety and security of cargo.
- Provide guidance to colleagues on new work methods and maintain professionalism in customer service.
