Responsibilities of Site Procurement Manager:
- Provide comprehensive procurement operations support for the fulfillment center in collaboration with the Procurement Operations Manager. This involves forecasting non-inventory products, managing inventory, optimizing non-inventory flow and space models, conducting cycle counts, overseeing supplier relationships, handling procurement transactions, and offering expediting support.
- Lead a team of non-inventory receivers to ensure optimal resource allocation and a setup conducive to success. Develop an in-depth understanding of non-inventory items and synchronize with similar structures to instill best practices.
- Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to gauge, control, and benchmark procurement processes. Create recurring metrics reports to drive operational enhancements throughout the network.
- Foster relationships across the building and network to facilitate the sharing and implementation of best practices. Leverage input from the category team to construct a category metrics model for performance tracking aligned with the category strategy.
- Collaborate with internal customers, Finance, and Procurement Operations to comprehend budgetary targets by building. Formulate methodologies to measure and define savings, value, and other category metrics.
- Monitor actual vs. planned savings, taking ownership of action plans to meet goals and devise solutions. Collaborate internally and with suppliers to innovate procurement solutions for the Operations network, implementing measures to continually enhance performance on behalf of Amazon.
- This encompasses corrugate, packing materials, labor, and janitorial services.
- Partner with the Category team to oversee and sustain supplier scorecards. Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Suppliers, and various internal teams to ensure prompt resolution of vendor payment issues.
